Hailuoto/ Koppakota recording session! Koppakota is the moose hunters hut, we rented for one day to make super silent recordings, all you hear is 11 adults and the open fire! We had a minus 3 sunshine day with quite a strong wind, which we listened and imitated.

Kaiku Meeting February 25th 2012
Inspired by Kurt Schwitters' Simultangedicht, we are writing a 3 group piece with Hailuoto sounds as a base such as wind, waves, moose, birds, mosquitoes, kaamos, silence etc. This is the first recording of this approach.

We first time work with animal sounds, test more sirens, correct our ferry sound piece and try out a rhythmical piece based on TA! Also first time 3 people from Oulu attend!

A very stromy and dark day in Hailuoto, we add Myrsky (storm) and Kaamos (the dark time) to our sound repertoir.

Close eyes and ears, breath in, and hum out slow and listen to your own voice and space. This exercise is a very good listening experience and voice warm up as well a method against anxiety, nervousness, loss of self awareness.
